Tie Your Camel

As salaamu alaikum brothers and sisters.  May Allah bless you all and protect you and entire us all in to Jannah Ameen.

Sometimes we can become too comfortable and lax and not be aware of our environment in this world that we live.  And because of this we can let our guard down which can put us into situations that are not the best for us leading to harm in this life and the next.  We all know that we should be careful and watch out for shaytaan as he sits on the paths watching for an opportunity to misguide us which can harm our Aakhirah leading us to the punishment.  Likewise, there are shayaateen(devils) from mankind sitting on the paths waiting for what they perceive as the vulnerable among us in order to harm our emaan or our physical bodies.  We seek refuge with Allah from that. Ameen.

So because of these devils both seen and unseen we much always be ready and prepare ourselves and protect ourselves from being victims.  Don’t be too relaxed wherever you are.  Indeed the shayaateen are enemies and they don’t sleep.  So Muslims, Don’t Sleep.  Be careful when you go out and be aware of your surroundings.  Sisters.  Don’t go out alone at dark without cause.  And if you must do so be cautious, stay in well lit areas, and be alert.  Talk to your local masjid administration about safety precautions.  Do your best in protecting your faith and your person and trust in Allah. As Muslims are those that do do diligence and trust in Allah.

Anas ibn Malik reported: A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, should I tie my camel and trust in Allah, or should I leave her untied and trust in Allah?” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, Tie her and trust in Allah.

Brothers and sisters.  Take care of yourselves and your families and be mindful of this world we live in.  We ask Allah’s protection and guidance in all that we do. Ameen.
