Food Pantry & Soup Kitchen
The Islamic Da’wa Center has established a food pantry that operates every Tuesday from 3PM to 6PM. With non-perishable food items supplied by Ma’rufs ‘One Can’ campaign, the IDC now feeds dozens of families every week. Running parallel to the food pantry is the IDC Soup Kitchen, providing hot meals to the hungry. The food pantry and soup kitchen are open to all persons in the city of Milwaukee who are in need. The Da’wa Center’s programs are open to all persons regardless of religon, race, creed, or gender.
You can help keep the food pantry going by pledging to donate canned food items. Ma’ruf will pick up your donations from your home, or you may drop off your donations at any of the following locations:

IDC Food Pantry & Soup Kitchen Report 1/20/2010
Allah states in the Qur’an, “And whatever you spend of anything (in Allah’s cause), He will replace it.” (34:39)
The food pantry and meal programs were established years ago under the direction of Br. Ayyub, Dr. Waheed and others. It has been our duty to continue such a successful and needed program. Over the past seven months the MIDC food pantry and meal programs have positively impacted over 2,500 Muslims and non-Muslims alike distributed over 8 tons of food and served over 800 meals all within budget. Allahu Akbar.
May Allah reward each and every individual that continues to support this program.
Allah says, “And whatever you spend in good, it is for yourselves, when you spend not except seeking Allah’s Countenance. And whatever you spend in good, it will be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged.”(2:272)
